Brainspotting Training: Who It’s For + How to Choose Phase I vs Phase II

If you’re a clinician looking for a powerful, somatic, trauma-informed approach, Brainspotting training can expand your clinical toolkit and deepen your capacity to work with nervous system regulation, attachment wounds, and performance blocks.

Who Brainspotting training is for

  • Therapists, counselors, and social workers

  • Psychologists and psychiatrists

  • Coaches and healing practitioners (where appropriate)

  • Clinicians working with trauma, addiction, anxiety, and burnout

Phase I: Foundations

Phase I is where you learn the core Brainspotting model, setup, attunement, and clinical flow. It’s the right starting point if you’re new to Brainspotting.

Phase II: Deepening the work

Phase II builds on Phase I with advanced applications, refinements, and expanded clinical strategies. You’ll get more nuance, more practice, and more ways to work with complex presentations.

How to decide quickly

  • If you have not completed Phase I → start with Phase I

  • If you’ve completed Phase I and want more depth + clinical range → Phase II
